I’m Oscar Herrera 
Art Director

Oscar is a Colombian 🇨🇴 Creative/Art Director based in Brooklyn, NYC. After a few years as the head Design Director in AldasBrand®; he is currently freelancing.
Having graduated from the Master’s in Brading at NYC’s SVA, he is looking forward to explore new design goals.
He is a graduate of the Master’s in Brading at SVA NYC, a Hardcore punk lover, and skateboarding fan .


Oscar is a Brander, New York-based creative director with problem-solving and decision-making skills.

In 2019, he moved to NYC to start a Master’s Degree in Branding at the School of Visual Arts. This program enables him to ask the right questions in the mind of a professional and the wondering eyes of a child who is continuously discovering to create unexpected connections.

For 10 years, Oscar has created meaningful, consistent, and effective brand identities, brand systems, and brand communications for consumer packaged goods and startup companies. His design is clean, research-informed, and human-centric through a mixture of powerful imagery, and crafted storytelling. Oscar understands the communication challenges of organizations, translating business goals, and consumer insights into design solutions. He believes in continuous improvement of the design process via user participation, client engagement, and multi-disciplinary practices. 

Oscar is capable of non-linear strategic thinking, developing creative concepts, and providing clear design direction, contributing to the creative process as a project an team leader. Above all, he enjoys being part of a thriving team and inspiring talented people to do the best work of their careers. He is a passionate and engaging communicator with an ability to identify new business opportunities, develop long-lasting client relationships, and grow business with existing clients.

When he is not crafting brands he is skateboarding around NYC, discovering the next hardcore concert, and searching for that perfect slice of pizza in NYC.🛹
